Hi Matt,
I use one made by Belkin called 'AC ANYWHERE'. It's about 50 quid and does a
splendid job (mostly keeping the kids amused with the laptop on long
journeys :).
You may need to run the engine a bit, if you're using it all the time.
I would be cautious and unplug it when starting up the engine, it shouldn't
hurt but better to be safe.
