I spoke to someone the other day who said that they did mixed lighting
interiors digitally, as I am intending to do.

Apparently it is not difficult if you know your way round PhotoShop:

Take a picture for each light source (16 shot if you need 5x7 res)

Filter, balance and blend in PS before you leave the site,

Take additional pictures (using e.g. flash) of inadequately lit areas

Re-blend

Leave the site knowing that you have it in the can.

Decent, cooled DigiBacks (e.g. Eyelike) let you use up to 30 secs exposure.

You can shift and tile to get more resolution or to allow you to use
standard large format lenses, or to include moving objects in some areas of
the picture: or use a Digitar.

Customers usually prefer you to use the mixed lighting in the building, but,
if you can, or have to, provide lighting, an 8 head 7,000 watt-second studio
flash system like mine would give you some flexibility.

Skilful use of the movements on a nice e.g. Sinar might let you use a wide
aperture, decreasing the light requirement.

My son sells the flat I bought him this month, and, when I get the money, I
intend to acquire an Eyelike: if you have not taken the plunge by then, come
over to Evesham and we can see what can be done.

There are two or three people on this site who admit to doing serious pro
dig work for serious clients who insist on 54 + res, movements, competent
photography, etc.

Good luck
