A Mirror Door G4. The second panel is already hinged, is this not the case
on the earlier model? If not, contact Apple, they must be able to supply you
with one. Worst comes to worst, just take the panel out, I think Its just
clipped in there.

I got a Toshiba (I think its the 1712 model)
Manufacturer : TOSHIBIT
Product : 16xDVD 48xCD Int IDE OEM
Quicklinx : 288CWS

from dabs.com cost 32 + VAT.

I checked xlr8.com site to see which drives were compatible. Seems like they
nearly all are under OSX. Doesn't need to be a specific "mac" drive. Fitting
involved removing 2 screws, remove the drive holder, slide in the new drive,
screw it in with the supplied four screws, refit. Attach power and ATA
cables. Bingo. (BTW I set it as Cable Select)

OSX is so damn clever, it instantly recognised it, plus it automatically put
an eject symbol in the menu bar, top right hand side, where you can select
which drive you wish to eject. Fantastic. Shortcut is Option Eject for the
lower tray.
