Officially... NO!

When the carts are made they have a slight vacuum in them - hence all the
sticky bits you have to tear off.

Apparently, as part of the priming procedure when changing carts, this
'negative pressure' helps to keep your printer in tip-top working condition.

Once the chart is inserted this pressure is normalised and consequently -
not doing you any favours. So the official line would be...

'If you re-insert an already used cartridge into your printer you are
increasing the possibility of ink blockage and blocked nozzles.'

Save yourself the worry - Put in a new one.

(Having said that I know someone who swaps carts all the time - can confuse
the hell out of the ink levels monitor thou...)
