Hello everybody- just a little update on the above scanner. I am in the middle of scanning 22 negs. in that I have to retouch and print until tomorrow morning... as I have never worked with ICE before (yes I know... I was not up to date with my old neg scanner) I am a little shocked by the time the scans take: I scan each neg. with 1603 dpi resolution to get a file of 5x 7,47 inch @ 300dpi which give me at 16bit a file size of 19,2 MB. With ICE on that takes exactly 10min 12sec!!! (Without the prescan or any other playing around). So I can do my own math: about 220min for all the negs. and now the problem: I scan them at the moment not with Ed's vuescan but with the software that came with the scanner and when I import through the scanner into Photoshop I can not in the meantime work on an image in PS! Perhaps I am doing something wrong but it used to be so good if you could work and not have to wait for the scans!!!??? Anyhow I think I'll see the sun rise tomorrow morning.
