I am scanning at 16 bit, 4000 dpi with "light infrared clean " ( in vuescan) with 4x scan passing and this takes about 8 minutes running a G4 500MHZ. I am lead to beleive that these scan times are greatly reduced with faster machines, but 6 mins for a 5400dpi scan seems quick to me... Still looking for a good comparison between the Nikon and the new minolta. Anyoe seen one?
