I have a new Epson 1160, installed everything, printed out some test images
including Neil Barstow's Monitor and Printer Profile Verification Image, all
of which printed beautifully. I was happy.

I then printed one of my own images using as far as I can remember the same
printer settings, and it's come out crap. (No jokes please! It prints
perfectly on my 1200). Have tried other settings and its still crap. Looks
all washed out and several stops too light. Have done nozzle check and all
that stuff. No problems there.

Reprinted the NB-MPPVI and this now looks all washed out too. What have I
done wrong?

On thing that puzzles me is that there do not appear to be any facilities in
the 1160 dialog box to save settings. Am using version
Sc1160_win2000_5.2as_en on PC with Windows XP. Not being able to save
settings is bound to lead to mistakes.

Advice on printer settings and how to save settings most welcome.
In particular I'd like to find the optimum settings prior to having a
profile built.

Many thanks,
John Hill
