Just because something is in the public domain doesn't mean someone can copy
it. That would mean anyone can use the images on your website without any
need to clear rights. Posts sent to ProDig, I would have thought, are
copyrighted by ProDig as they are the publisher.

By posting, you give permission to ProDig for them to publish your nuggets
of wisdom (and sometimes bile) but not necessarily a third party to also
publish it without the original publisher's permission.

If ProDig wanted to publish your words in another form, say a book, then
they would have to seek your permission! That's my take on it.
