You do have to stand your ground here to avoid using an inkjet of any sort barring an oversize Iris print. There are possibilities for Dye Sub or Dye Diffusion Images (Pictrographic prints), but he certainly is not going to get the ultimate quality you could achieve from a digital file or from a transparency made from a digital file.


As you know him from some time back, it seems here is a chance for some education, he will probably take your advice, where he would not take it from 'some young whippersnapper, wet behind the ears and with fluff on his chin'.

Hold his hand and gently help him dip his toes in the digital stream...
