I've got two 1160s.The one running epson inks I haven't turned off since I
bought it just after it was released so I guess that's 3-4 years.No
trouble,ever,no blockages,no cleaning cycles.Sometimes i don't use it for a
couple of weeks..........

The other,about less than a year old and running Lyson inks does need the
odd clean now and again.I don't turn that one off,either.
