Hi Those of you with a 5400 and Vuescan might like to keep a watch on the comp.periphs.scanners newsgroup. Ed Hamrick monitors this quite closely. I have copied a recent post (yesterday) to the bottom of this mail.

It can be downloaded from: http://www.hamrick.com/files/test5400.zip (Windows) http://www.hamrick.com/files/test5400.sit (Mac OS X) It will only work with Firewire (not USB), but I can probably get it working with USB if someone could e-mail me the .inf file that comes with the Minolta Windows software (it's either on the CD or gets installed into \windows\inf). I don't actually have a 5400 to test, but I'm guessing that the scanner will be similar to the Scan Elite II and the Scan Dual III. It would be useful if someone could e-mail me a vuescan.log file from this test version. To do this, run VueScan, set "Output|Output log file", press the Preview button, exit VueScan and e-mail me vuescan.log. Now I need a vuescan.log file from the 5400.
