Dear Ian, Full VS support for the Minolta 5400 is not implementated yet. It seems that Ed. Hamrick is waiting for a scanner from Minolta, Germany for the VS implementation of said scanner.
I'm sure that as soon as he's finished with it, he'll have a new release of Vuescan. That should not be long now.
