would cost to make the transition to digi. For a property photographer, to
print to a maximum of A2 with decent wide angle lenses etc?. Just for
camera hardware not the computer side of things.

Sense in a nutshell. Care to hazard a guess at the savings? And the basis of the amount?
I am currently looking at about �2,000 scanning costs on a couple of fairly modest book projects. More serious is the time delay in getting film processed and the scans done. I spent the best part of two days recently just cutting out frames from film strips.
There is also the small matter of extra earnings.
I am currently working on my own costings and with a few recent drops in certain equipment reckon �15,000 - �18,000 is possible. An interiors photographer might need to factor in specialised lighting he prefers but I know one architectural photographer who has reduced his lighting requirements since shooting digitally.
