Hi I've resisted comment on this thread so far, but I do feel we should respect the diversity of experience of all people who are members of the list. Not all of us acquired our knowledge of matters digital overnight, and posters should remember that they are also addressing the vast majority of members who rarely if ever post. Personally, I'll often reply directly to the sender if it's a FAQ.
It would be nice if people could see the wider issues raised by the original query, rather than a bunch of 'old geezers' bemoaning the 'good old days' and how the kids of today ... etc etc :-)) :-)) I've had my own share of work that didn't pan out into more since the client could now do it themselves. To be honest though, it wasn't the sort of stuff I'd want to do on a regular basis anyway. I just make sure that I treat consultancy work as such and charge accordingly. I'm always wary of people who make a point of calling themselves professional, it's one of those things a true Pro wouldn't need to do... :-)) bye for now Keith Cooper =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
