If you want to do serious proofing on a 2100 you should consider using Best (tecco) RemoteProof 9150 or PerfectProof Semimatte. Both surfaces are somewhat closer to offset in regard to surface and colour as well as achievable black. It's some of the best proofing papers I've seen for ultrachrome inks.
Dear Thomas
What a co-incidence ....I was about to ask if anyone had compared the Perfect proof SM (which we have been using for eighteen months or so) with the Best proofing papers in a viewing booth.
Using a Graphiclite 5000k proof viewer, the Perfect proof paper looks very white by comparison to the Best papers, however looking at all under our Polylux 950 5000K room lighting tubes, they look very close to one another. Yes the room is a neutral grey as measured and all check out with the rough and ready Gatf/Rhem light indicator strips! Thoughts Thomas please or anyone.
I am trying to choose a range of A3plus SM, S gloss, and gloss proofing papers in a decent weight, minimum of 185gm, to hopefully cater for proofing to match different sheet fed printing stocks. This is for use with our Canon W2200 proofer and the Best Colorproof rip. Finding products which do not have an enhanced white seems to be difficult....they all seem to read a bit high.
Many thanks
