Jorge, Paul and list:

One has the option of printing to .ps file - then using Acrobat Distiller to
RIP into PDF. PDF can be rasterized in Photoshop, or converted in
Illustrator, or placed into Quark or InDesign etc. Some other apps can often
deal with the .ps file too.

One can print to file using .eps format with some Mac printer drivers, if
.ps does not work well but .eps does.

I do not recommend PDF writer printer driver - but it also another option.

If you can print to paper (or whatever) - then you should be able to print
to file. Use a PostScript printer driver where possible, but on the PC a non
PS device may print a .prn file..but often these can just be renamed .ps and
RIPed into Acrobat etc.

It may not always be easy - but it is possible.
