At least CCC is compatible. Have used it several times on my powerbook. Can�t explain the crashes though. Once CCC froze for me so I had to forcequit and start over again. That�s it. Have you checked your startupdisk with Diskutility? Since both apps crash my guess is that your problem is not with the apps. Sorry if this isn�t much help.
