[PRODIG] Re:problem with Illustrator

Although this might be of topic, I will ask for assistance anyway.
I had created a map in Illustrator 9.0.2 on a MAC, the map contained 
type, shapes and lines, looked fine on my PDF, and on a soft proof 
ripped to an Epson wide format printer, but when it was ripped to 
negs, ALL of the items were BOLD...same shape, size, placement, etc, 
but bold???anyone have an explaination. The printer was clueless.
