Thanks Rachel, good to have that confirmed.

I've been keeping quiet on the topic of my Canon printer as it's not all done and dusted yet but maybe I should take the opportunity to wrap this thread up...

As I mentioned, Tony Riley was good enough to give me some time a couple of weeks ago.

The lines which bothered me (and at least one other...) did not bother him but as he pointed out, "if *you* don't like it, don't keep it". I have also heard from people who *do* see the lines but don't seem to mind them.

Either way, I just can't get past them. I have therefore returned the printer and am waiting for my refund before I order an 1160 with a Lyson CIS and Fotonic inks. The total cost will be about the same.

The 1160 is low tech but Tony gets some great prints from it and I think it will suits my purposes.

Many, many thanks to everyone who helped out with this, sent me prints and called me on the 'phone. It's at times like this when I really appreciate a list like this and the selfless nature of many of the members/subscribers.

I'm saving up for all the beers I owe! ;-)
