Hello all, it's been a while

A strange thing happened to day, I am working on a folder of images which
started off on my Mac laptop running OSX10.1.5 I have it connected to my G4
Desktop (also running OSX10.1.5) by an ethernet (crossover) cables. Earlier
today I copied the folder maintaining the same name over to my G4 and
created a web gallery of image from the jpegs. Having done all that I then
went back to my laptop and deleted the file from my laptop, only what I had
forgotten was that the window I had opened on the disk on my G4 was still
open on my laptop and it was actually the folder on my G4 that I dragged to
the trash on my laptop. No problem I thought I'll just drag it out again.
What's this, the trash on my laptop is empty. Oh well it must be in the
trash on my desktop. No, not there either. It has disappeared. The folder
has gone from my G4. I still have the original copy on my laptop minus the
web gallery so not a major problem but very curious and a disaster waiting
to happen if it was a file the hadn't been backed up.

Anyone any ideas about how to find it, or is it lost forever.

Regards

John Blythe
