Sorry to say you've lost it forever. When you trash a file on another computer over a network (even just 2 computers) in OSX the file is immediately deleted - this is also true of Apple's iDisks. However you should have seen a dialogue box warning you about this. You may be able to rescue the folder/files using a utility like Norton Unerase provided you haven't used the computer too much - saving, deleting, or moving files around.
