I am intrigued at what system other photographers are using to handle the increased number of digital files produced by digital cameras. I can envisage a greatly increased number of images which I will have on file. I would like to start off with a system which I don't have to change later. Have any others encountered pitfalls in their initial workflows?

At present my thinking is like this:-

WORKFLOW

Capture with 1ds only in RAW and Adobe RGB enabled space
Copy RAW files into folder for processing.
Process RAW files in Capture One using minimum sharpening
Copy processed RAW files into Master Folder
Review TIFF files to decide which ones to keep
Open selected TIFFS in Photoshop, retouch, add sharpening
Rename RGB TIFFs sequentially.
Rename RAW files with the same numbers but with different prefix.
Add Keywords to RGB TIFFs with Image Info Toolkit
Make reduced size JPEGs of the RGB TIFFs
Dump/Transfer the JPEGs into Cumulus database and sort into categories

Are there any essential steps I've forgotten or should consider?

Thanks in advance
