If you look at the actual results from the Photoshop tests the Xeon was almost twice as fast as the G4 and 30% faster than the G5. Your quote of "clearly outperformed" was only valid if the program start-up time was added. If you are only working on one image then the G5 is a clear winner but if you intend working on several images the Xeon is clearly the better choice :-)
