I have Precision II scanner that is rarely used any more as most all of my photography is digital capture now. I'm contemplating moving the scanner off of my normal image editing system (G4 Mac running OS-X) and putting it on an XP system that's used for routine office tasks. I'm tempted to make the switch largely for office desk space issues more than anything else. The scanner fits better on a less used desk near the Windows system. This would allow someone else to be using the scanner while I'm occupied with image editing. Are there any particular problems or advantages to running this scanner on XP that I should be aware of before I make the switch? I seem to recall seeing posts from Imacon users here running both platforms. I have zero experience with Imacon equipment under Windows. At one time (several years ago) I was under the impression that the Windows drivers lagged somewhat behind in development compared to the Mac software. I don't know that that's the case anymore... especially with this older scanner. Would love to hear from real users before I start unplugging and moving things around.

Thanks!

Bob Smith
