but a really FAT little birdie told me that Flex ( for cameras anyway) runs waaaaaay quicker on PC than it does on Mac
wouldn't surprise me. That's true of a lot of raw image processing software and is the main reason I allowed some Wintel machines into my otherwise Mac dominated studio. Having done so I can definitely say that having both platforms available and using each for what it does best provides an overall major boost to studio productivity. I do so little scanning now that speed of the software is way down the list of concerns.
