I had a client you spent FOUR DAYS sifting through library books/websites for a specific series of shots of different facial expressions for a TV ad research group. They finally gave up and approached me, with only half a day to go before their deadline. We shot around 100 different expressions, digitally, in around two hours. They left happy bunnies, complete with CD. How much time and grief could they have saved if they had just spoken to a photographer first?
I take it you dont mean me(as in "you" but you mean "who" , if you know what I mean ?
The same thing happens to us where they cant find stuff they like and come on to us last minute.com , and we use that as a sell point , ie , 'you get what you want , no compromise , unique images , and think how much time you spend search the libraries , its better and more cost effective to use us'
sometimes it works , but its rare !
