That much is understood and accepted, much as I dislike it - it would be
much more beneficial for me personally if I owned the copyright to all the
shots I produce daily, but being an employee I accept that I don't in return
for the benefits you list. Where it becomes more difficult is when there are
freelance photographers shooting alongside the employees in our studio, with
our equipment, on our film, processed on our machine, or on our computers if
digital (he said trying to bring it back into list guidelines:-) ).

Ian maintains that unless agreed up front, that copyright belongs to the
freelancers. Now if Ian is correct that has serious implications for studios
like us (of which there are many, some on this list). I'm not a legal
expert, so if anyone who is would like to comment....
