Just installed my CS update but find that, if anything, it is about 25%
faster than Photoshop 7.
This on what is now quite an old Athlon 1800XP with 1Gb RAM and two HDDs
What I did have to do, after install, was:
1)Renominate a second physical drive as the scratch
disk (the CS install will default to the Startup disk);
2)In Preferences/Memory & Image Cache move the
RAM useage slider from it's 50% default to 100%.
BINGO!
