I asked an IT guy about this some time ago and he mentioned that windows
allocates the system ram use before any apps are run so setting
photoshop at 100% would be a good idea if that's all you are running;
setting it at say 80% would mean that you have 20% not being used.
Seemed to make sense but I never tested his theory - I have always run
photoshop at 100% unless I need other apps running then I reduce
accordingly.
