Hello,
By way of introduction, I am a free lance photographer in the states and use both a D100 and S2 Pro.
There was a post about raw files that I felt I must respond to. An individual wrote that they downloaded the raw files, manipulated them and then saved them again as raw files to a CD. This is not possible. A raw file is the same as a negative. It cannot be manipulated and then stored once again in that raw state. As a matter of fact it can be used as a legal record just as a chrome or print can be used in such a manner. Brian Lawler wrote a piece on this subject not too long ago and as a photographer and printer I found this very interesting and hope this list does too.
The discussions on this forum are most enlightening.
Thanks,
