David, Having used, Corel Draw, Page Maker, Quark and Indesign, I would say Indesign 2 is the best for its capability and ease of use.
I am a photographer and designer, so I take the pictures from my digital camera, correct them and then drop them straight into brochures that I lay up in Indesign. Many professional still use Quark as this is the Grand Father of lay up software, but more and more are switching to Indesign which is one of the few contenders that can properly import Quark files. I found a superb 'plate' printers (who can do Stochastic screening) that happily take Indesign files without me having to export eps files, (which means they can still edit the files should they need to without charging me to re import artwork.) Hope that helps, Nathan Gaydhani. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Townend Sent: 17 November 2003 17:52 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [PRODIG] Easy to use Photo Layout programme Hi Listees, I'm trying to lay out photos on a double page spread and am getting frustrated with have to constantly resize the images by going into dialogue boxes and typing in a new size just so I can have a look and see how the new size appears relative to other images on the same page. Does anyone know of a "visualising" programme that is more intuitive I could use ? Being able to resize individual photos on a page by dragging them to their new size rather than guessing the new size in a dialogue box, and then having to re-enter the size upteen different times until I've got it right would be nice ! Thank you in advance. Best wishes, David . =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
