I have been thinking about getting an Apple Cinema 20" display (ACD) for quite some time but I have read that these don't really work very well with PC's. In particular, although you can get an adapter to allow a DVI graphics card to drive this display there are limitations
a) the ACD can't display DOS resolution, so you cant adjust BIOS settings b) its not possible to control colour balance, gamma etc. As my main reason for considering the purchase is to establish a colour management workflow, b. is kind of a show stopper. So... my questions are, i) are a & b correct? If not, is anyone happily runnign this monitor on a PC? What graphics card works well with it? ii) What LCD alteratives are there for the PC, not necessarily widescreen. Are the Sony LCD's any good? I don't want LaCie as I am still smarting from the zero support I have had with my D.O.A. DVD writer. -- ____________________________________________________ Message scanned for viruses and dangerous content by <http://www.newnet.co.uk/av/> and believed to be clean =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
