[PRODIG] USB 2.0 card reader on Mac

As I've had such great help with the last problems here's one I've had 
for a while but was hoping would be solved by Panther, and wasn't.

I've got a USB 2.0 card reader.  When the first card goes in it mounts 
onto the desktop.  I then eject it and put in another.  This doesn't 
appear unless I unplug the card reader and plug it in again.  With an 
input on the front of a G5 this is less tedious than it otherwise might 
be, but if there is a quick fix,  that would be great.

It's not a branded card reader, but it works fine apart from this 
inconvenience.
