Greetings Jonathan, Open your photo folder. At the top goto View and select details. Now goto to Tools and select Folder Options, then select View and then select Apply to All Folders and then click Apply. This will fix it.
Unfortunately, in Photoshop if you goto File and use Open to get an image file you'll still get images instead of details, everytime you use that method. Use the Photoshop Browser instead, It's alot faster.
