There is a way in Photoshop CS, and in fact since I answered this one earlier, I decided I would write a HowTo for the Help menu in Photoshop CS. I have just finished it! It is very straightforward.
First step is to open an image
Go to File/File Info
Fill in the details that are constant (so that the info is non-specific and can be applied to multiple files)
You will see a List marker that currently reads 'Unknown' for Copyright Status, change this to Copyrighted (It is this that applies the symbol)
Now do not simply say OK - Go to the flyout menu and save this template with a meaningful name such as 'Copyright of the maestro'
Now you can say OK
Open the File Browser select several images to which you need to display the copyright symbol
In the FB Edit menu go to Append Metadata and across from this you will see the name you saved your template under, let go and after a short warning (dismissible) it will run through adding the relevant info.
All you do now is build as many templates as you like and append accordingly.
Only in CS!

Is it possible to change the 'Copyright Status' from the default "Unknown"Yes - but only via an action and or droplet. The way I do it, is to incorporate my 'Generic Copyright' (and sometimes a customized file info file) file info action into a general PS image process droplet. I haven't seen any other way of doing this most important function to images.
to "Copyrighted" using the File Browser ?
