Hi all Happy New Year to all. I'm going to trade in my Coolscan 3 for a new film scanner. I'm looking at producing 48-70MB files from 35mm negs to supply stock to a picture library. I've got my eye on the Minolta Elite 5400 and would be interested in the Coolscan 4000 from Nikon although at twice the price of the Minolta it doesn't seem very good value.
Before I part with my hard earned cash are there any other scanners I should consider, and what are your experiences of the Elite 5400, will the Coolscan 4000 offer any advantages over the Minolta to justify the extra cost?
