Recently on this forum, I flagged up a problem I had with the 16-35 on
a 10d and a couple of other members have mentioned off list that they
have had a similar issue. Basically the lens front focuses by 10-20cm
when at the lower end of the zoom (17-20mm ish). Beyond that all is
fine and dandy and we suspect that Sigma is aware of the problem. I
know that the L series canons are expensive but you get what you pay
for. I have the 17-40 which is just lurverly. Its only f4 but you get
that through the focal length and I rarely have to resort to a fast
prime when light gets low. Nice for digital users with a small sensor.
