.....methinks (perhaps) maybe a millimetre of white (ie - no ink) at the end
of the print would help in this situation. I do find that the Hahnemule
308gm takes some handling on (my) 1160 printer. The Black does slosh from
time to time, and attention to feeder angle (and) grip on the support sheet
makes for crucial on a 44inch run.

OK, the 1160 is an A3+b printer - right? That's A3 plus bleed.....and I
reckon the carriage is optimised for laying down ink A3 height/width. Also,
I find that the 308gm does benefit from being 13inch in width - meaning a
half inch white border top and bottom. If its say - A4 width, (with it being
held off-centre by the carraige) then on occasion, Black ink will more
likely than not slosh onto this very expensive paper. Vexing, because the
effect is intermittent. I prefer the 308gm for big panos, and keep the A3 on
bleed work to the Epson Archival Matte - cheap for what it is and fab for
proofs.

Anyway, been running an 1160 for two years now, and soon will be going
taking it apart to see what is worn and torn, and where all the gunk goes. I
believe it possible to do most of the maintainance and keep it running for a
very long time. Be interesting to see what is worn and torn. I digress.
