Had a bit of a shock yesterday.
I did a studio shoot of some packaging against a white background on my
Canon 10d.
I've had the 10d for a few months now and have been very happy with the
results. Architecture, portraits and flower close ups have come out fine
after a little levels adjustment or saturation and contrast.
The shots against the white background though looked like they had been shot
through a number 3 mud filter. They looked fine on the camera back but when
the raw file had been converted they looked awful and with my limited
experience was unable to rescue them.
(thank God I had some film in the fridge) So what was I doing wrong, who
should I read?

Richard.
