John I find that it's usually a problem when dealing with non-agency clients, although in this age of film to digital transition I occasionally find myself having to justify my fees to account execs who don't understand. I sometimes resort a simple analogy to illustrate what good value I am: Pointing to the kit I merely say that if they were to walk into Calumet or Flash Centre or whatever, it would cost them more to simply hire the kit I offer per day than the fee I charge to shoot it. Effectively I'm shooting their job free. There's usually very little they can say. If you're feeling mischievous, ask them if they've had to hired a plumber recently, and what did he charge ;-) God help us all if plumbers figure a way to go digital. ----------------------------------- Paul Hartley Hartley Studios.
