I use the Lacie photon19blue as a secondary monitor.
Just as important is the Graphics Card with your second monitor.
I recommend the Matrox Parhelia for memory and power.

Should you find an golden Easer Egg tomorrow I would go
For the new Barco 20" LCD. No need to profile the monitor because
it is all build in and blows the socks off any monitor apart from their
own Reference (Multipoint) "Calibrator".- But it is close to 4000 and
in my view just too much money. If you see it you might want to part
exchange your house. It looks great and you can shift it with one arm.

Subject: [PRODIG] Recommended LCD Monitors

Dear List

Am in the process of buying a new G5, which I intend to run with 2
monitors.

I was looking at the LaCie 19" Photon's but a highly reliable source
pointed
out some archive material from Prodig late last year that suggested the
LaCies suffered from problems, and that Apple 17" monitors were a much
better bet.

There are a couple of features on the LaCies that are missing from the
Apples, and I'm keen to hear of anyone on this lists experience with
these
LaCie devices.

All comments on or off list muchly appreciated.
