I know some subscribers here won't share my opinion, but I use both a LaCie 19"at home and an Apple 17" on travel. Both are calibrated with a MonacoEZcolor.
LCDs, unless an improved feature miss contrast adjustment's tool.
Using both, I saw Apple, compared to LaCie, displaying pleasant and bright colours, I'm still asking myself if they are "true" colours, and if the LCD's contrast is not set for video more than for photography. Even calibrated screens display different colours. I'm still working for accurate colours on my CRT which I trust more for this task.
If your intend is to mach colours to print, it had been repeatedly wrote here by trustworthy members that you may use an Apple LCD.
BTW, I have been told that, whatever Apple claims, 17" an 23" are made with the same kind of screen.
For what it worth.
Regards.

suggested the LaCies suffered from problems, and that Apple 17" monitors were a much better bet.
There are a couple of features on the LaCies that are missing from the
Apples, and I'm keen to hear of anyone on this lists experience with these
LaCie devices.
