I'm currently evaluating these cameras and I'd be interested in going on your next 1 day course, when would that be?
I am interested in the Canon fit version of the Pro SLR/c. When do you think that camera will be available to purchase in "the real world?"
I was sad to see the pro back go, I was hoping that it would go to a larger chip size. Are you saying that strategically Kodak are finished with medium format digital?

OK ,I am biased, but without the microlenses and an anti ailiasing filter
the SLRn can be stunning.
I must point out though that with such a high resolution camera, you will
not get away with anything other than the finest glass.
If you do pick up any Chromatic Abberatioins from lenses so affected,
Photoshop CS or Camera bits can do a pretty good job.
Also, the SLRc will be here in a couple of weeks so if you are undecided
about lens mounts and bodies the n and c are different and you may prefer
one against the other as well as comparing to the Canon itself.
These cameras can replace pro backs ( the main reason why Kodak have pulled out of that market), as such they are high end tools with many pitfalls to catch the unwary. There are many different settings and operating procedures. It pays to approach then as 35mm shaped pro backs rather than D100/S2's with knobs on!
I hope this is not seen as advertising, but just to let you know, Kodak
is running training throughout this year for SLRn/c owners, 14n owners and
prospective owners. It is a 1 day course and is free of charge. We will
even give you a free lunch ( yes there IS such a thing) .Theory in the
morning and hands on in the afternoon. An ideal opportunity, if you are
undecided, to have a play. It will be in the Watford area. Anyone
interested can phone 01525 373087.
