Hi list. I have been playing with a demo unit of the new Pro Slr/n for a few hours now. On the whole it seams to be much better both regarding noise and battery life. Noise when using only ambient light @ 400 ISO not to bad at all, actually very similar to the D1x. However I am getting those strange magenta spills in from left side of the frame, both from my 28-70mm and the 60mm macro. This camera has firmware 4.5.7. Have also been doing product shots with strobe and this color shift is very noticable against the white background. Did a long exposure in the twilight with the 80-200mm, set the camera to ISO 25 and made a 30s exposure that was very clean indeed! If I can fix the color shift I recon I will go for the camera since the price is not bad at all. Its not perfect, but clearly much better than the 14n. Shame it only flash syncs at 1/125s, I am used to 1/500s from the D1x. Would have been ok if one could have set the iso down to 80, but on the Pro Slr/n only 'long exposure mode' allows you to go below ISO 160!
