Yes the seminars are for prospectives as well as 14n owners and SLRn
owners.

We need to do this as most of the bad press around the earlier camera in
particular is due to not fully understanding the camera and workflow and
also there are so many folk not really understanding high end digital
capture and output.

Given a bit of tuition, and a reminder of photographic basics, plus lens
theory to control flare and chromatic abberations, results are always
remarkably improved!

We are also currently sponsoring a series of lab days which at a very
basic level discusses digital, storage, files and colour management. They
are run at or near a lab and with a morning and afternoon session of abot
10 -15 invited customers.
It has been a revelation a real revelation as to how people are managing
out there. There is a real need for training which many are now realising.
I am sure this does not apply to Pro Dig subscribers but very few
appreciate anything at all about the differences say between raw and jpeg
files and sRGB and Adobe 1998 colour spaces for instance, or the need to
claibrate monitors and simply talk with their lab.

The idea behind it is that it should prevent photographers wasting time by
"preparing " files a lab then has to undo and also save lab time too
bythem recieving files that need little if any work. So far it has been
highly successful.
We have been to Redwood, and Streamline so far. Colin Alford next, then
Leach, and Colorworld, then........
