Thanks to all who answered.
Shangara hit it on the head.. It was the file that was corrupted as
everything else worked perfectly well and previewed/printed/saved as a pdf.
Pain the the proverbial redoing it and importing all the data.

Just a thought using OSX.

Moi, probably being stupid, decided to re initialise & load up Panther only
(which I think is where all my recent nightmares started out from) & then
the apps etc.  However, the printouts looked ghastly when printing in
Panther despite using the profiles Neil B wrote for my 2100 - whether
through CS or PS 7.xx.

Neil advised me, correctly I might add to  have a copy of PS7 & tell it to
boot into classic. &, hey presto, the images are printing out back to
normal.

To me, it seems a slightly backward step having to keep classic on the
system - especially when you shelled out updating all your applications that
are now OSX native and using nothing that requires you to have OS 9 - apart
from your profiles that is.

Any views out there with some work arounds or am being a complete luddite
who should stick to film?
