Is it really worth it? I paid a discounted �29.99
for a Canon LIDE 20 flatbed at John Lewis
recently as a present for a youngster. I had a
look at it before it went - well, I tried it on
my G4 <g> - and frankly, I was impressed! More
than adequate for positionals or web use. It even
had copier and e-mail functions.

Is there another way to get this cheap (�100)
scanner working? I'd rather not have to fork out
more money just to run a cheap scanner....
