Hi All

I am looking at possibly purchasing an i-Book or Powerbook. The
differences in processor/graphics card etc aside I am wondering if there
is any specific advantage monitor wise of the Powerbook over the i-book
(bearing in mind the price difference). I am looking at the 14 inch
i-book or 15 inch Powerbook as a comparison. I have noticed that the
i-book resolution is 1024x768 and the Powerbook is 1280x854, which is
obviously slightly higher even taking into account the extra inch in
display size, but are there any other colour issues that need to be
considered. I will be calibrating and profiling the monitor using the
Optical Spyder and will want to output using my ICC profiled printer, so
would like as accurate colour rendition/dynamic range as possible. Any
advice would be appreciated. Also, would the CRT display on say the
E-mac always be a better option for accurate colour than the TFT
displays on the laptops?

Thanks

Tal
