I use a 14n for critical copy work with cross polarized light. A standard polarizer works just fine. In my situation...filters on the lights as well... circular polarizers cause all sorts of weird color shifts as you rotate the filter. The magenta/green cast Chris is seeing is a problem with the lens optimization setting, not the polarizing filter.
