Hi Shoot raw all the time...
I always shoot raw with my 1Ds and Olympus E20. It gives you so many options to change things once you start playing with the images for real. You can easily automate the importing with an action if you have a lot of images to import with the same settings. I've done jobs with horrendous lighting, where only a lot of playing round with the CS import settings has got the look I was after. If I'd been using jpegs, then a lot of the decisions would have been made at the time of shooting. The resizing in the raw import is also of very high quality and makes use of the actual way the data is presented by the sensor to get the best results (this is one reason for the particular ratios you see in the dialogue box) There has been a recent update to the raw import plugin which supports more cameras and has a few bug fixes. bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
